132. Daniel BANNISTER (1)(14) was born on 13 Feb 1777 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA. He died on 26 Feb 1853 in Boylston, Worcester, MA.(6) He died of lung complications. He was buried in Old Burial Grounds, Boylston, Worcester, MA.(6) He lived in Gardner, MA where he owned a store. The contents of the store were sold at public auction on Feb. 12, 1810. He returned to Boylston.
The will of his father Nathan written in 1825 gave him $50,"...over an above the house which I have built for him and which I have deeded to him..." The deed is dated Nov. 28, 1817 and runs to Thomas Harlow of Shrewsbury as trustee for Anna Banister, wife of Daniel and his children. It conveys l acre 25 rods and the house. The house is standin [1947] and is the colttage of Lewis Burkhart on Sewall St., It was built between the house of Nathan Banister and the one built by Seth Banister. It is marked "D.B." on Gardner Smith's map [about 1830] and "A Newell" on Wallings map of 1856.
Daniel wascalled a rake maker in the record of his death. He did wood turning,making such things as wooden axes to farm carts and other things formerly used about the farms that were made of wood. In 1818 he contemplated making the old nailors shop into a wood turning shop with water power. They had Vashini Hemenway draw up a lease, but apparently nothing came of it.
He bought an ash tree for $.50 from Dr. Joseph Flagg in 1827 and a walnut tree from him in 1836.

He was married to Anna DRURY (daughter of Caleb DRURY and Sarah GOODALE) on 22 Jul 1798 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA.(1) (14) Anna DRURY was born on 10 Feb 1775 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA.(14) She died on 7 May 1838 in Boylston, Worcester, MA.(6) Daniel BANNISTER and Anna DRURY had the following children:
